1 Adam, Seth, Enosh,

2 Kenan, Mahalalel, Jared,

3 Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech, Noah.

4 The sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

5 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

6 The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.

7 And the sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittites, and the Rodanites.

8 The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

9 The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabta, Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.

10 Cush was the father of Nimrod, who began to be a mighty one on the earth.

11 Mizraim was the father of the Ludites, the Anamites, the Lehabites, the Naphtuhites,

12 the Pathrusites, the Casluhites (from whom the Philistines came), and the Caphtorites.

13 And Canaan was the father of Sidon his firstborn, and of the Hittites,

14 the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites,

15 the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,

16 the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites.

17 The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram. The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshech.

18 Arphaxad was the father of Shelah, and Shelah was the father of Eber.

19 Two sons were born to Eber: One was named Peleg, because in his days the earth was divided, and his brother was named Joktan.

20 And Joktan was the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,

21 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,

22 Obal, Abimael, Sheba,

23 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan.

24 So from Shem came Arphaxad, Shelah,

25 Eber, Peleg, Reu,

26 Serug, Nahor, Terah,

27 and Abram (that is, Abraham).

28 The sons of Abraham were Isaac and Ishmael.

29 These are their genealogies: Nebaioth the firstborn of Ishmael, then Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,

30 Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema,

31 Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These were the sons of Ishmael.

32 The sons born to Keturah, Abraham’s concubine: Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah. The sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.

33 The sons of Midian: Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, and Eldaah. All of these were Keturah’s sons.

34 Abraham was the father of Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.

35 The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, Jalam, and Korah.

36 The sons of Eliphaz: Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam, and Kenaz; and by Timna, Amalek.

37 The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

38 The sons of Seir: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan.

39 The sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam. Timna was Lotan’s sister.

40 The sons of Shobal: Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho, and Onam. The sons of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah.

41 The son of Anah: Dishon. The sons of Dishon: Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran, and Cheran.

42 The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, Zaavan, and Akan. The sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.

43 These are the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the Israelites: Bela son of Beor. His city was named Dinhabah.

44 When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah reigned in his place.

45 When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites reigned in his place.

46 When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the country of Moab, reigned in his place. And the name of his city was Avith.

47 When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah reigned in his place.

48 When Samlah died, Shaul from Rehoboth on the Euphrates reigned in his place.

49 When Shaul died, Baal-hanan son of Achbor reigned in his place.

50 When Baal-hanan died, Hadad reigned in his place. His city was named Pau, and his wife’s name was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.

51 Then Hadad died. Now the chiefs of Edom were Timna, Alvah, Jetheth,

52 Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon,

53 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,

54 Magdiel, and Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom.

39 And the sons of Lotan; Hori, and Homam: and Timna [was] Lotan's sister.

40 The sons of Shobal; Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon; Aiah, and Anah.

41 The sons of Anah; Dishon. And the sons of Dishon; Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

42 The sons of Ezer; Bilhan, and Zavan, [and] Jakan. The sons of Dishan; Uz, and Aran.

43 Now these [are] the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before [any] king reigned over the children of Israel; Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city [was] Dinhabah.

44 And when Bela was dead, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

45 And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.

46 And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad, which smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city [was] Avith.

47 And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

48 And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

49 And when Shaul was dead, Baalhanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

50 And when Baalhanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city [was] Pai; and his wife's name [was] Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

51 Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth,

52 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

53 Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,

54 Duke Magdiel, duke Iram. These [are] the dukes of Edom.

6 But the children of Gomer are: Askenas, Riphath, Thogarma.

7 the children of Javan are: Elisha, Tharsisa, Chitim, Dodanim.

8 the children of Ham are: Chus, Mizraim, Put, Canaan.

9 But the children of Chu are: Seba, Hevila, Sabtha, Ragema, Sabthecha. And the sons of Ragema are: Sheba and Dedan.

10 And Chus begat Nimrod, who began to be mighty in the earth.

11 Mizraim begat Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphthuhim,

12 pathrusim, kasluhim (from which are descended the philistim), and kaphthorim.

13 And Canaan begat Zidon his first son, and Heth,

14 Jebusi, Amori, Girgosi,

15 Hevi, Arki, Sini,

16 Arwadi, Zemari and Hemathi.

17 And the children of Shem were these: Elam, Asshur, Arphachad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether and Masech.

18 And Arphachad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber.

19 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, because in his days the land was divided: and the name of his brother was Jaktan.

20 And Jaktan begat Almodad, and Saleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jarah,

21 Hadoram, Usal, Dikla,

22 Ebal, Abimael, Sheba,

23 Ophir, Hevila and Jobab. These are all the children of Jaktan.

24 Sem, Arphachsad, Salah,

25 Boar, Peleg, Regu,

26 Serug, Nahor, Tharah,

27 Abram, that is Abraham.

28 And the sons of Abraham are: Isaac and Ishmael.

29 This is their generation: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,

30 misma, duma, masa, hadad, theme,

31 Jethur, Naphi, Kedma. These are the children of Ishmael.

32 And the sons of Keturah the concubine of Abraham, which bare Shimran, and Jaksan, and Medan, and Midian, and Jezbak, and Shuah. But the children of Jaksan are: Sheba and Dedan.

33 And the children of Midian are: Ephah, Epher, Enoch, Abida, Eldaa. These are all the children of Keturah.

34 And Abraham begat Isaac. And the children of Isaac are: Esau and Israel.

35 The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reguel, Jeus, Jaelam, Korah.

36 The children of Eliphaz are: Theman, Omar, Zephi, Gaetham, Kenaz, Thimnah, Amalek.

37 The children of Reguel are: Nahath, Serah, Samma and Misa.

38 the children of Seir are: Lothan, Sobal, Zibeon, Ana, Dison, Ezer, Disan.

39 The children of Lothan are: Hori, Homam; and Thimna was a sister of Lothan.

40 the children of Sobal are: Alian, Manahath, Ebal, Sephi, Onam. The children of Zibeon are: Aja and Ana.

41 the children of Anas: Dison. The children of Dison are: Hamran, Esban, Jethran, Cheran.

42 The children of Ezer are: Bilhan, Saewan, Jaekan. The children of Disan are: Uz and Aran.

43 These are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned a king among the children of Israel, Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

44 And when Bela was dead, Jobab the son of Zerah, of Bazrah, reigned in his stead.

45 And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the Themanites reigned in his stead.

46 And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad reigned in his stead, who smote the Midianites in the field of Moab: and the name of his city was Avith.

47 And when Hadad was dead, Samla of Masrek reigned in his stead.

48 And when Samla was dead, Saul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

49 And when Saul was dead, Baalhanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

50 And when Baalhanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead; and the name of his city was Pagi; and his wife's name was Mehetabeel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mesahab.

51 And when Hadad was dead, there were princes in Edom; Thimnah the prince, Alwa the prince, Jetheth the prince,

52 Prince Ahalibama, Prince Ela, Prince Pinon,

53 Prince Kenas, Prince Theman, Prince Mibzar,

54 Prince Magdiel, prince Iram. These are the princes of Edom.
