Job 25

1 Then Bildad the Shuhite replied:

2 “Dominion and awe belong to God; He establishes harmony in the heights of heaven.

3 Can His troops be numbered? On whom does His light not rise?

4 How then can a man be just before God? How can one born of woman be pure?

5 If even the moon does not shine, and the stars are not pure in His sight,

6 how much less man, who is but a maggot, and the son of man, who is but a worm!”

1 ¶ Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

2 Dominion and fear [are] with him, he maketh peace in his high places.

3 Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?

4 How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean [that is] born of a woman?

5 Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.

6 How much less man, [that is] a worm? and the son of man, [which is] a worm?

1 Then answered Bildad of Suah, and said:

2 Is not dominion and fear with him that maketh peace among his high ones?

3 Who shall number his men of war? And over whom will not his light go?

4 And how shall a man be righteous in the sight of God? And how shall a woman's child be pure?

5 Behold, the moon shineth not yet, neither are the stars yet pure in his sight;

6 how much less a man, the maggot, and a man-child, the worm?
