Leviticus 20

1 Then the LORD said to Moses,

2 “Tell the Israelites, ‘Any Israelite or foreigner living in Israel who gives any of his children to Molech must be put to death. The people of the land are to stone him.

3 And I will set My face against that man and cut him off from his people, because by giving his offspring to Molech, he has defiled My sanctuary and profaned My holy name.

4 And if the people of the land ever hide their eyes and fail to put to death the man who gives one of his children to Molech,

5 then I will set My face against that man and his family and cut off from among their people both him and all who follow him in prostituting themselves with Molech.

6 Whoever turns to mediums or spiritists to prostitute himself with them, I will also set My face against that person and cut him off from his people.

7 Consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy, because I am the LORD your God.

8 And you shall keep My statutes and practice them. I am the LORD who sanctifies you.

9 If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death. He has cursed his father or mother; his blood shall be upon him.

10 If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress must surely be put to death.

11 If a man lies with his father’s wife, he has uncovered his father’s nakedness. Both must surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

12 If a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both must surely be put to death. They have acted perversely; their blood is upon them.

13 If a man lies with a man as with a woman, they have both committed an abomination. They must surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

14 If a man marries both a woman and her mother, it is depraved. Both he and they must be burned in the fire, so that there will be no depravity among you.

15 If a man lies carnally with an animal, he must be put to death. And you are also to kill the animal.

16 If a woman approaches any animal to mate with it, you must kill both the woman and the animal. They must surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

17 If a man marries his sister, whether the daughter of his father or of his mother, and they have sexual relations, it is a disgrace. They must be cut off in the sight of their people. He has uncovered the nakedness of his sister; he shall bear his iniquity.

18 If a man lies with a menstruating woman and has sexual relations with her, he has exposed the source of her flow, and she has uncovered the source of her blood. Both of them must be cut off from among their people.

19 You must not have sexual relations with the sister of your mother or your father, for it is exposing one’s own kin; both shall bear their iniquity.

20 If a man lies with his uncle’s wife, he has uncovered the nakedness of his uncle. They will bear their sin; they shall die childless.

21 If a man marries his brother’s wife, it is an act of impurity. He has uncovered the nakedness of his brother; they shall be childless.

22 You are therefore to keep all My statutes and ordinances, so that the land where I am bringing you to live will not vomit you out.

23 You must not follow the statutes of the nations I am driving out before you. Because they did all these things, I abhorred them.

24 But I have told you that you will inherit their land, since I will give it to you as an inheritance—a land flowing with milk and honey. I am the LORD your God, who has set you apart from the peoples.

25 You are therefore to distinguish between clean and unclean animals and birds. Do not become contaminated by any animal or bird, or by anything that crawls on the ground; I have set these apart as unclean for you.

26 You are to be holy to Me because I, the LORD, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be My own.

27 A man or a woman who is a medium or spiritist must surely be put to death. They shall be stoned; their blood is upon them.’”

1 ¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever [he be] of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth [any] of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.

3 And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.

4 And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not:

5 Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.

6 And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I [am] the LORD your God.

8 And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I [am] the LORD which sanctify you.

9 For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood [shall be] upon him.

10 ¶ And the man that committeth adultery with [another] man's wife, [even he] that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

11 And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.

12 And if a man lie with his daughter in law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have wrought confusion; their blood [shall be] upon them.

13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.

14 And if a man take a wife and her mother, it [is] wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you.

15 And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast.

16 And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.

17 And if a man shall take his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it [is] a wicked thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: he hath uncovered his sister's nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.

18 And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.

19 And thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister, nor of thy father's sister: for he uncovereth his near kin: they shall bear their iniquity.

20 And if a man shall lie with his uncle's wife, he hath uncovered his uncle's nakedness: they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless.

21 And if a man shall take his brother's wife, it [is] an unclean thing: he hath uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall be childless.

22 ¶ Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue you not out.

23 And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.

24 But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I [am] the LORD your God, which have separated you from [other] people.

25 Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.

26 And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD [am] holy, and have severed you from [other] people, that ye should be mine.

27 A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood [shall be] upon them.

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying:

2 Say unto the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth his seed unto Molech, he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him.

3 And I will set my face against such a man, and will cut him off from among his people, because he hath given his seed to the Molech, and hath defiled my sanctuary, and profaned my holy name.

4 And where the people of the land shall see by the fingers of the man that gave his seed unto Molech, that they kill him not,

5 Then will I set my face against that man, and against his seed, and will cut him off, and all that have followed him with the Molech, from among their people.

6 And if a soul turn unto the diviners and to the interpreters of signs to follow them, then will I set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.

8 And keep my statutes, and do them: for I am the LORD that sanctifieth you.

9 Whosoever curseth his father or his mother shall surely be put to death. His blood be upon him, because he hath cursed his father or his mother.

10 Whosoever committeth adultery with any man's wife shall surely be put to death, both he that committeth adultery, and he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife.

11 If a man lie with his father's wife, and have uncovered his father's shame, they shall both surely be put to death. Their blood be upon them.

12 If any man sleep by his cord, they shall both be put to death: for they have committed a shame. Their blood be upon them!

13 If any man sleep with a boy, as with a woman, they have done an abomination, and shall both be put to death. Their blood be upon them!

14 If a man take a wife, and her mother with her, he hath committed a trespass: he shall be burned with fire, and they with him, that there be no trespass among you.

15 If a man lie with cattle, he shall surely be put to death; and the cattle shall be strangled.

16 And if a woman shall come near unto any beast, to have dealings with it, thou shalt kill them, and the beast also; they shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.

17 If a man take his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and look upon her shame, and she upon his shame, it is an incest: they shall be cut off from among their people: for he hath uncovered his sister's shame. He shall bear his iniquity.

18 If a man lie with a woman in the time of her sickness, and uncover her shame, and uncover her fountain, and she uncover the fountain of her blood; both of them shall be cut off from among their people.

19 The shame of thy mother's sister, and the shame of thy father's sister, shalt thou not uncover: for such a one hath uncovered his near kinswoman, and they shall bear their iniquity.

20 If a man lie with his father's brother's wife, he hath disgraced his father's wife: they shall bear their sin: without children they shall die.

21 If a man take his brother's wife, it is a shameful thing: they shall be without children, because he hath blotted out his brother's shame. 22, Now therefore keep all my statutes and my judgments, and do them; lest the land whereunto I bring you to dwell should spue you out.

23 And walk not in the statutes of the heathen, which I will cast out before you. For all these things have they done, and I have abhorred them.

24 But unto you I say, Ye shall inherit that land: for I will give you a land for an inheritance, flowing with milk and honey. I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from the people,

25 That ye also separate the one cattle from the unclean, and unclean fowls from the clean; and that ye defile not your souls in cattle, and in fowls, and in all that creep upon the earth, which I have separated unto you to be unclean.

26 Therefore ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, which have separated you from the nations, that ye should be mine.

27 If any man or woman be a soothsayer, or an interpreter of signs, they shall surely be put to death; they shall be stoned. Their blood be upon them!
