Psalms 1

1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or set foot on the path of sinners, or sit in the seat of mockers.

2 But his delight is in the Law of the LORD, and on His law he meditates day and night.

3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither, and who prospers in all he does.

4 Not so the wicked! For they are like chaff driven off by the wind.

5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

6 For the LORD guards the path of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

1 ¶ Blessed [is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight [is] in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4 ¶ The ungodly [are] not so: but [are] like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

2 But hath delight in the law of the LORD, and speaketh of his law day and night.

3 He is like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; and his leaf fadeth not away; and whatsoever he doeth prospereth.

4 But such are not the wicked, but are as the chaff which the wind scattereth.

5 Therefore the wicked abide not in judgment, neither sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked perisheth.
