MSB Audio · Psalms 122
Majority Standard Bible
1 A song of ascents. Of David. I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.”
2 Our feet are standing in your gates, O Jerusalem.
3 Jerusalem is built up as a city united together,
4 where the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, as a testimony for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.
5 For there the thrones of judgment stand, the thrones of the house of David.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you prosper.
7 May there be peace within your walls, and prosperity inside your fortresses.”
8 For the sake of my brothers and friends, I will say, “Peace be within you.”
9 For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your prosperity.
KJV
1 ¶ A Song of degrees of David. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.
2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
3 Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:
4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.
5 For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
6 ¶ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
7 Peace be within thy walls, [and] prosperity within thy palaces.
8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace [be] within thee.
9 Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.
1545 Luther's English Bible (LED)
Glory of the city of Jerusalem.
1 A song of David in the higher chorus. I rejoice in that which is spoken unto me, that we shall go into the house of the LORD,
2 And our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
3 Is built that it may be a city, where men may come together,
4 When the tribes should go up, even the tribes of the LORD, to preach unto the people of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.
5 For there sit the seats of judgment, the seats of the house of David.
6 wish Jerusalem happiness. May it be well with those who love you!
7 Let there be peace within thy walls, and happiness in thy palaces.
8 For my brethren's sake, and for my friends' sake, I will wish thee peace.
9 For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek thy best.
