Psalms 70

1 For the choirmaster. Of David. To bring remembrance. Make haste, O God, to deliver me! Hurry, O LORD, to help me!

2 May those who seek my life be ashamed and confounded; may those who wish me harm be repelled and humiliated.

3 May those who say, “Aha, aha!” retreat because of their shame.

4 May all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; may those who love Your salvation always say, “Let God be magnified!”

5 But I am poor and needy; hurry to me, O God. You are my help and my deliverer; O LORD, do not delay.

1 ¶ To the chief Musician, [A Psalm] of David, to bring to remembrance. [Make haste], O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD.

2 Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.

3 Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.

4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

5 But I [am] poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou [art] my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.

2 make haste, O GOD, to save me, O LORD, to help me!

3 They that desire my soul shall be ashamed and confounded: they that wish me ill shall return and be heard,

4 And they shall be ashamed again, that cry against me: There, there!

5 Let them that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let them that love thy salvation say always, Blessed be God.

6 But I am wretched and poor. God, make haste to me, for you are my helper and savior; my God, do not consume me!
