MSB Audio · Psalms 76
Majority Standard Bible
1 For the choirmaster. With stringed instruments. A Psalm of Asaph. A song. God is known in Judah; His name is great in Israel.
2 His tent is in Salem, His dwelling place in Zion.
3 There He shattered the flaming arrows, the shield and sword and weapons of war. Selah
4 You are resplendent with light, more majestic than mountains filled with game.
5 The valiant lie plundered; they sleep their last sleep. No men of might could lift a hand.
6 At Your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both horse and rider lie stunned.
7 You alone are to be feared. When You are angry, who can stand before You?
8 From heaven You pronounced judgment, and the earth feared and was still
9 when God rose up to judge, to save all the lowly of the earth. Selah
10 Even the wrath of man shall praise You; with the survivors of wrath You will clothe Yourself.
11 Make and fulfill your vows to the LORD your God; let all the neighboring lands bring tribute to Him who is to be feared.
12 He breaks the spirits of princes; He is feared by the kings of the earth.
KJV
1 ¶ To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm [or] Song of Asaph. In Judah [is] God known: his name [is] great in Israel.
2 In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.
3 There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.
4 Thou [art] more glorious [and] excellent than the mountains of prey.
5 The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.
6 At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
7 ¶ Thou, [even] thou, [art] to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?
8 Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,
9 When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.
10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.
11 Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.
12 He shall cut off the spirit of princes: [he is] terrible to the kings of the earth.

7 From thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both horse and chariot shall fall asleep.

9 When thou shalt hear judgment from heaven, the earth shall be afraid, and shall be still,
10 When God arises to judge, to help all the wretched of the earth. Sela.
11 When men rage against thee, thou puttest in honour: and when they rage more, thou art armed also.
12 Praise and keep the LORD your God, all ye that are about him; bring gifts unto the terrible one,
13 Who taketh away the courage of princes, and is terrible among the kings of the earth.
