Psalms 87

1 A Psalm of the sons of Korah. A song. He has founded His city on the holy mountains.

2 The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

3 Glorious things are ascribed to you, O city of God. Selah

4 “I will mention Rahab and Babylon among those who know Me—along with Philistia, Tyre, and Cush—when I say, ‘This one was born in Zion.’”

5 And it will be said of Zion: “This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High Himself will establish her.”

6 The LORD will record in the register of the peoples: “This one was born in Zion.” Selah

7 Singers and pipers will proclaim, “All my springs of joy are in You.”

1 ¶ A Psalm [or] Song for the sons of Korah. His foundation [is] in the holy mountains.

2 The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

3 Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.

4 ¶ I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this [man] was born there.

5 And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.

6 The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, [that] this [man] was born there. Selah.

7 As well the singers as the players on instruments [shall be there]: all my springs [are] in thee.

2 The LORD loveth the gates of Zion above all the dwellings of Jacob.

3 Glorious things are preached in thee, O city of God. Sela.

4 I will preach unto Rahab and Babylon, that they may know me. Behold, the Philistines and the Tyrians and the Moors are born there.

5 And it shall be said in Zion, that all manner of men shall be born therein, and that he that is most high shall build them.

6 The LORD shall preach in divers tongues, that some of them also shall be born there. Sela.

7 And the singers, as at the round dance, shall all sing in thee one by one.
