Revelation 10

1 Then I saw a mighty angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, with a rainbow above his head. His face was like the sun, and his legs were like pillars of fire.

2 He held in his hand a scroll, which lay open. He placed his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land.

3 Then he cried out in a loud voice like the roar of a lion. And when he cried out, the seven thunders sounded their voices.

4 When the seven thunders had spoken, I was about to put it in writing. But I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down.”

5 Then the angel I had seen standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to heaven.

6 And he swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and everything in it, the earth and everything in it, and the sea and everything in it: “There will be no more delay!

7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he begins to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be fulfilled, just as He proclaimed to His servants the prophets.”

8 Then the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me again, saying, “Go, take the small scroll that lies open in the hand of the angel standing on the sea and on the land.”

9 And I went to the angel and said, “Give me the small scroll.” “Take it and eat it,” he said. “It will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.”

10 So I took the scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. But when I had eaten it, my stomach turned bitter.

11 And they told me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples and nations and tongues and kings.”

1 ¶ And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow [was] upon his head, and his face [was] as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and [his] left [foot] on the earth,

3 And cried with a loud voice, as [when] a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.

4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.

5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,

6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

8 ¶ And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go [and] take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.

9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take [it], and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.

10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.

1 And I saw another strong angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud, and a rainbow upon his head, and his face as the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire.

2 And he had a little book opened in his hand; and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot upon the earth.

2 But the inner choir of the temple cast out, and miss it not: for it is given unto the heathen: and they shall tread down the holy city forty and two months.

3 And he cried with a loud voice, as a lion roareth: and as he cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.

4 And when the seven thunders had spoken their voices, I would have written them. And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up the things which the seven thunders have spoken: write them not.

5 And the angel which I saw standing on the sea and on the earth lifted up his hand to heaven.

6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, which created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things that therein are, that there should be no more time,

7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall sound, the mystery of God shall be finished, as he hath declared to his servants and prophets.

8 And again I heard a voice from heaven speaking unto me, saying, Go, take the open book of the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.

9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take thee up, and swallow it: and it shall be bitter in thy belly, but in thy mouth it shall be sweet as honey;

10 And I took the little book from the angel's hand, and swallowed it: and it was sweet in my mouth as honey: and when I had eaten it, it grieved me in my belly.

11 And he said unto me, Prophesy again unto the nations, and to the Gentiles, and to the tongues, and to many kings. Ch. 11, v. 1: And there was given me a reed like unto a rod, saying, Arise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
