Romans 16

1 I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a servant of the church in Cenchrea.

2 Welcome her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the saints, and assist her with anything she may need from you. For she has been a great help to many people, including me.

3 Greet Prisca and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus,

4 who have risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them.

5 Greet also the church that meets at their house. Greet my beloved Epenetus, who was the first convert to Christ in Achaia.

6 Greet Mary, who has worked very hard for us.

7 Greet Andronicus and Junia, my fellow countrymen and fellow prisoners. They are outstanding among the apostles, and they were in Christ before I was.

8 Greet Amplias, my beloved in the Lord.

9 Greet Urbanus, our fellow worker in Christ, and my beloved Stachys.

10 Greet Apelles, who is approved in Christ. Greet those who belong to the household of Aristobulus.

11 Greet Herodion, my fellow countryman. Greet those from the household of Narcissus who are in the Lord.

12 Greet Tryphena and Tryphosa, women who have worked hard in the Lord. Greet my beloved Persis, who has worked very hard in the Lord.

13 Greet Rufus, chosen in the Lord, and his mother, who has been a mother to me as well.

14 Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brothers with them.

15 Greet Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas and all the saints with them.

16 Greet one another with a holy kiss. The churches of Christ send you greetings.

17 Now I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who create divisions and obstacles that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Turn away from them.

18 For such people are not serving our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.

19 Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I rejoice over you. But I want you to be wise indeed about what is good and innocent about what is evil.

20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

21 Timothy, my fellow worker, sends you greetings, as do Lucius, Jason, and Sosipater, my fellow countrymen.

22 I, Tertius, who wrote down this letter, greet you in the Lord.

23 Gaius, who has hosted me and all the church, sends you greetings. Erastus, the city treasurer, sends you greetings, as does our brother Quartus.

24 May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

2 That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.

3 Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus:

4 Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.

5 Likewise [greet] the church that is in their house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.

6 Greet Mary, who bestowed much labour on us.

7 Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellowprisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.

8 Greet Amplias my beloved in the Lord.

9 Salute Urbane, our helper in Christ, and Stachys my beloved.

10 Salute Apelles approved in Christ. Salute them which are of Aristobulus' [household].

11 Salute Herodion my kinsman. Greet them that be of the [household] of Narcissus, which are in the Lord.

12 Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, which laboured much in the Lord.

13 Salute Rufus chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine.

14 Salute Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brethren which are with them.

15 Salute Philologus, and Julia, Nereus, and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints which are with them.

16 Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you.

17 ¶ Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

19 For your obedience is come abroad unto all [men]. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.

20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you. Amen.

21 ¶ Timotheus my workfellow, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen, salute you.

22 I Tertius, who wrote [this] epistle, salute you in the Lord.

23 Gaius mine host, and of the whole church, saluteth you. Erastus the chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus a brother.

24 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all. Amen.

25 ¶ Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

27 To God only wise, [be] glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

10 Salute Apelles the approved in Christ. Salute them that are of the company of Aristobulus.

11 Salute Herodionus, my friend. Salute them that are of the company of Narcissus in the Lord.

12 Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who have labored in the Lord. Salute Persida, my beloved, who has labored much in the Lord.

13 Salute Rufus, the elect in the Lord, and his mother and mine.

14 Salute Asyncritus and Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brethren with them.

15 Salute Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints with them.

16 Greet one another with the holy kiss. The churches of Christ greet you.

17 Now I beseech you, brethren, that ye take heed of them which cause divisions and offences beside the doctrine which ye have learned, and depart from them.

18 For such serve not the Lord JESUS Christ, but their own bellies: and with sweet words and fair speech they deceive the innocent heart.

19 For your obedience is sufficient among all men. Therefore I rejoice over you. But I will that ye be wise in good, but simple in evil.

20 But the God of peace tread Satan under your feet in a little while! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you!

21 Timotheus my assistant, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater, my friends, salute you.

22 I, Tertius, salute you, who have written this epistle, in the Lord.

23 Gaius, my host, and the host of the whole congregation, saluteth you. Greetings to you from Erastus, the town's steward, and Quartus, the brother.

24 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Jesus Christ be with you all! Amen.

25 But to him that is able to strengthen you according to my gospel, and the preaching of JESUS CHRIST, by which is made manifest the mystery that was hid from the world,

26 But now it is revealed, and made known by the scriptures of the prophets, by the commandment of the eternal God, to establish the obedience of faith among all nations:

27 To the same God, who alone is wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever and ever. Amen. Sent to the Romans from Corinth through Phoebe, who was ministering to the church at Kenchrea.
