Episode Description

On this Second Sunday in Advent, Jesus directs His Church to watchfulness, prayer, and confidence as we await His return. In Luke 21:25–36, Christ speaks of signs in heaven and earth that will cause fear among the nations, yet He calls believers to stand tall and lift up their heads, for their redemption is drawing near.

This sermon explores the difference between fear and faith, the purpose of the signs of the end, and Christ’s warning against spiritual sleep brought on by dissipation, drunkenness, and the cares of this life. Above all, we hear the enduring comfort of Jesus’ promise: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.”

A message of Advent hope, repentance, and steady confidence in Christ’s unchanging Word.
