DEFINITION

 § 8. Doctrinal Theology, in the abstract sense of the term, is the aggregate of the doctrines laid down in the Holy Scriptures, which should be known, accepted, properly applied, and strenuously defended, by a theologian; and Doctrinal Theology in this sense is outlined in the following chapters and paragraphs.
