54 - Mediate External Acts

MEDIATE EXTERNAL ACTS

ยง 54. The mediate external acts of God are concurrent acts of the three Persons in the Trinity terminating in extra-divine objects and performed with the employment of intermediate or instrumental causes. Of this class are the production of plants, animals, and human beings in the course of nature, the work of regeneration or conversion through the means of grace, etc.
