1 Chronicles 8

1 Benjamin was the father of Bela his firstborn, Ashbel the second, Aharah the third,

2 Nohah the fourth, and Rapha the fifth.

3 The sons of Bela: Addar, Gera, Abihud,

4 Abishua, Naaman, Ahoah,

5 Gera, Shephuphan, and Huram.

6 These were the descendants of Ehud who were the heads of the families living in Geba and were exiled to Manahath:

7 Naaman, Ahijah, and Gera, who carried them into exile and who was the father of Uzza and Ahihud.

8 Shaharaim had sons in the country of Moab after he had divorced his wives Hushim and Baara.

9 His sons by his wife Hodesh: Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, Malcam,

10 Jeuz, Sachia, and Mirmah. These were his sons, heads of families.

11 He also had sons by Hushim: Abitub and Elpaal.

12 The sons of Elpaal: Eber, Misham, Shemed (who built Ono and Lod with its villages),

13 and Beriah and Shema (who were the heads of families living in Aijalon and who drove out the inhabitants of Gath).

14 Ahio, Shashak, Jeremoth,

15 Zebadiah, Arad, Eder,

16 Michael, Ishpah, and Joha were the sons of Beriah.

17 Zebadiah, Meshullam, Hizki, Heber,

18 Ishmerai, Izliah, and Jobab were the sons of Elpaal.

19 Jakim, Zichri, Zabdi,

20 Elienai, Zillethai, Eliel,

21 Adaiah, Beraiah, and Shimrath were the sons of Shimei.

22 Ishpan, Eber, Eliel,

23 Abdon, Zichri, Hanan,

24 Hananiah, Elam, Anthothijah,

25 Iphdeiah, and Penuel were the sons of Shashak.

26 Shamsherai, Shehariah, Athaliah,

27 Jaareshiah, Elijah, and Zichri were the sons of Jeroham.

28 All these were heads of families, the chiefs according to their genealogies, and they lived in Jerusalem.

29 Jeiel the father of Gibeon lived in Gibeon. His wife’s name was Maacah,

30 and Abdon was his firstborn son, then Zur, Kish, Baal, Nadab,

31 Gedor, Ahio, Zecher,

32 and Mikloth, who was the father of Shimeah. They too lived alongside their relatives in Jerusalem.

33 Ner was the father of Kish, Kish was the father of Saul, and Saul was the father of Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Esh-baal.

34 The son of Jonathan: Merib-baal, and Merib-baal was the father of Micah.

35 The sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Tarea, and Ahaz.

36 Ahaz was the father of Jehoaddah, Jehoaddah was the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri, and Zimri was the father of Moza.

37 Moza was the father of Binea. Raphah was his son, Eleasah his son, and Azel his son.

38 Azel had six sons, and these were their names: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.

39 The sons of his brother Eshek: Ulam was his firstborn, Jeush second, and Eliphelet third.

40 The sons of Ulam were mighty men of valor, archers, and they had many sons and grandsons—150 in all. All these were the descendants of Benjamin.

3 And the sons of Bela were, Addar, and Gera, and Abihud,

4 And Abishua, and Naaman, and Ahoah,

5 And Gera, and Shephuphan, and Huram.

6 And these [are] the sons of Ehud: these are the heads of the fathers of the inhabitants of Geba, and they removed them to Manahath:

7 And Naaman, and Ahiah, and Gera, he removed them, and begat Uzza, and Ahihud.

8 And Shaharaim begat [children] in the country of Moab, after he had sent them away; Hushim and Baara [were] his wives.

25 And Iphedeiah, and Penuel, the sons of Shashak;

26 And Shamsherai, and Shehariah, and Athaliah,

27 And Jaresiah, and Eliah, and Zichri, the sons of Jeroham.

28 These [were] heads of the fathers, by their generations, chief [men]. These dwelt in Jerusalem.

29 And at Gibeon dwelt the father of Gibeon; whose wife's name [was] Maachah:

30 And his firstborn son Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Nadab,

31 And Gedor, and Ahio, and Zacher.

32 And Mikloth begat Shimeah. And these also dwelt with their brethren in Jerusalem, over against them.

33 ¶ And Ner begat Kish, and Kish begat Saul, and Saul begat Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.

34 And the son of Jonathan [was] Meribbaal; and Meribbaal begat Micah.

35 And the sons of Micah [were], Pithon, and Melech, and Tarea, and Ahaz.

36 And Ahaz begat Jehoadah; and Jehoadah begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza,

37 And Moza begat Binea: Rapha [was] his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son:

38 And Azel had six sons, whose names [are] these, Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan. All these [were] the sons of Azel.

39 And the sons of Eshek his brother [were], Ulam his firstborn, Jehush the second, and Eliphelet the third.

40 And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valour, archers, and had many sons, and sons' sons, an hundred and fifty. All these [are] of the sons of Benjamin.

1 The children of Issachar were: Thola, Puah, Jasub and Simron, the four.

2 And the sons of Tola were: Uzzi, and Rephaiah, and Jeriel, and Jahemai, and Jebsam, and Samuel, heads of the house of their fathers of Tola, and mighty men of their seed, in number in the days of David twenty and two thousand and six hundred.

3 The children of Uzzi were Jezraiah. But the children of Jesrajas were: Michael, Obadiah, Joel, and Isaiah the five, and were all heads.

4 And with them in their generations, in the house of their fathers, were armed hosts to battle thirty and six thousand: for they had many wives and children.

5 And their brethren in all the families of Issachar, mighty men, were eighty and seven thousand, and were all numbered.

6 And the sons of Benjamin were: Bela, Becher, and Jediael, the three.

7 But the children of Bela were: Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and In, the five, heads of the house of the fathers, mighty men. And were numbered twenty and two thousand and thirty and four.

8 The sons of Becher were: Shemira, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Amri, Jerimoth, Abiah, Anathoth, and Alameth: all these were the children of Becher.

9 And were numbered in their families after the heads of the house of their fathers, mighty men, twenty thousand and two hundred.

10 And the sons of Jediael were Bilhan. And Bilhan's children were: Jens, Benjamin, Ehud, Knaena, Sethan, Tharsis, and Ahisahar.

11 All these were the sons of Jediael, heads of the fathers, mighty men, seventeen thousand two hundred, that went out to battle.

12 And Shupim and Hupim were the sons of Ir; and Hushim was the son of Aher.

13 And the sons of Naphtali were: Jahziel, Guni, Jezer and Sallum, children of Bilha.

14 And the sons of Manasseh were these: Esriel, whom Aramiah his concubine bare: and he begat Machir the father of Gilead.

15 And Machir gave wives unto Hupim and unto Supim: and his sister's name was Maechah. And his other son's name was Zelaphehad; and Zelaphehad had daughters.

16 And Maechah the wife of Machir bare a son, and called his name Peresh: and his brother's name was Shares: and his sons were Ulam and Rakem.

17 And the son of Ulam was Bedan. These are the sons of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh.

18 And Molecheth his sister bare Ishud, and Abiezer, and Mahela.

19 And Shemida had these children, Ahjan, and Sichern, and Likhi, and Aniam.

20 The sons of Ephraim were these: Suthelah; whose son was Bered; whose son was Tahath; whose son was Eleadah; whose son was Tahath;

21 His son's name was Shabad; his son's name was Shuthelah; his son's name was Ezer and Elead. And the men of Gath, the inhabitants of the land, slew them, because they went down to take their cattle.

22 And Ephraim their father mourned a long time: and his brethren came to comfort him.

23 And he slept with his wife, and she conceived, and bare a son, and called his name Bria: because it was evil in his house.

24 And his daughter Seerah, which built the lower and the upper Bethhoron, and Uzzah Seerah.

25 His son was Rephah and Reseph; his son was Thelah; his son was Thahan;

26 His son was Laedan; his son was Ammihud; his son was Elishama;

27 His son was Nun; his son was Joshua.

28 And their possession and their habitation was Bethel, and their daughters; and toward the east Naeran, and toward the west Gezer, and their daughters; and Shechem, and her daughters, unto Azza, and her daughters.

29 And in the children of Manasseh, Bethshean and her daughters, Taenah and her daughters, Megiddo and her daughters, Dor and her daughters. In these dwelt the children of Joseph the son of Israel.

30 The children of Asher were these: Jemnah, Jezva, Jezwi, Briah, and Zerah their sister.

31 And the sons of Briah were: Heber and Malchiel, which is the father of Birzavith.

32 And Heber begat Japhlet, and Somer, and Hotham, and Sua their sister.

33 The children of Japhelet were: Passover, Bimehal, and Ashvath; these were the children of Japhelet.

34 And the sons of Somer were: Ahi, Rahga, Jehuba and Aram.

35 And the sons of his brother Helem were: Jophah, Jemnah, Seles, and Amal.

36 And the children of Zophah were: Suah, Harnepher, Sual, Beri, Jemra,

37 Bezer, Hod, Sama, Silsa, Jethran and Beera.

38 The children of Jether were: Jephunneh, Phispa, and Ara.

39 And the sons of Ullah were: Arah, Haniel and Riziah.

40 These were all the sons of Asher, heads of the house of their fathers, chosen men of valour, and heads of princes. And they were numbered in the host to the battle, according to their number, twenty and six thousand men.
