Exodus 25

1 Then the LORD said to Moses,

2 “Tell the Israelites to bring Me an offering. You are to receive My offering from every man whose heart compels him.

3 This is the offering you are to accept from them: gold, silver, and bronze;

4 blue, purple, and scarlet yarn; fine linen and goat hair;

5 ram skins dyed red and fine leather; acacia wood;

6 olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;

7 and onyx stones and gemstones to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece.

8 And they are to make a sanctuary for Me, so that I may dwell among them.

9 You must make the tabernacle and design all its furnishings according to the pattern I show you.

10 And they are to construct an ark of acacia wood, two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.

11 Overlay it with pure gold both inside and out, and make a gold molding around it.

12 Cast four gold rings for it and fasten them to its four feet, two rings on one side and two on the other.

13 And make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.

14 Insert the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, in order to carry it.

15 The poles are to remain in the rings of the ark; they must not be removed.

16 And place inside the ark the Testimony, which I will give you.

17 And you are to construct a mercy seat of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.

18 Make two cherubim of hammered gold at the ends of the mercy seat,

19 one cherub on one end and one on the other, all made from one piece of gold.

20 And the cherubim are to have wings that spread upward, overshadowing the mercy seat. The cherubim are to face each other, looking toward the mercy seat.

21 Set the mercy seat atop the ark and put the Testimony that I will give you into the ark.

22 And I will meet with you there above the mercy seat, between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the Testimony; I will speak with you about all that I command you regarding the Israelites.

23 You are also to make a table of acacia wood two cubits long, a cubit wide, and a cubit and a half high.

24 Overlay it with pure gold and make a gold molding around it.

25 And make a rim around it a handbreadth wide and put a gold molding on the rim.

26 Make four gold rings for the table and fasten them to the four corners at its four legs.

27 The rings are to be close to the rim, to serve as holders for the poles used to carry the table.

28 Make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold, so that the table may be carried with them.

29 You are also to make the plates and dishes, as well as the pitchers and bowls for pouring drink offerings. Make them out of pure gold.

30 And place the Bread of the Presence on the table before Me at all times.

31 Then you are to make a lampstand of pure, hammered gold. It shall be made of one piece, including its base and shaft, its cups, and its buds and petals.

32 Six branches are to extend from the sides of the lampstand—three on one side and three on the other.

33 There are to be three cups shaped like almond blossoms on the first branch, each with buds and petals, three on the next branch, and the same for all six branches that extend from the lampstand.

34 And on the lampstand there shall be four cups shaped like almond blossoms with buds and petals.

35 For the six branches that extend from the lampstand, a bud must be under the first pair of branches, a bud under the second pair, and a bud under the third pair.

36 The buds and branches are to be all of one piece with the lampstand, hammered out of pure gold.

37 Make seven lamps and set them up on the lampstand so that they illuminate the area in front of it.

38 The wick trimmers and their trays must be of pure gold.

39 The lampstand and all these utensils shall be made from a talent of pure gold.

40 See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.

7 Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate.

8 And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.

9 According to all that I shew thee, [after] the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make [it].

10 ¶ And they shall make an ark [of] shittim wood: two cubits and a half [shall be] the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.

11 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a crown of gold round about.

12 And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put [them] in the four corners thereof; and two rings [shall be] in the one side of it, and two rings in the other side of it.

13 And thou shalt make staves [of] shittim wood, and overlay them with gold.

14 And thou shalt put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, that the ark may be borne with them.

15 The staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken from it.

16 And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.

17 And thou shalt make a mercy seat [of] pure gold: two cubits and a half [shall be] the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.

18 And thou shalt make two cherubims [of] gold, [of] beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.

19 And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: [even] of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.

20 And the cherubims shall stretch forth [their] wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces [shall look] one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.

21 And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.

22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which [are] upon the ark of the testimony, of all [things] which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

23 ¶ Thou shalt also make a table [of] shittim wood: two cubits [shall be] the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.

24 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, and make thereto a crown of gold round about.

25 And thou shalt make unto it a border of an hand breadth round about, and thou shalt make a golden crown to the border thereof round about.

26 And thou shalt make for it four rings of gold, and put the rings in the four corners that [are] on the four feet thereof.

27 Over against the border shall the rings be for places of the staves to bear the table.

28 And thou shalt make the staves [of] shittim wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be borne with them.

29 And thou shalt make the dishes thereof, and spoons thereof, and covers thereof, and bowls thereof, to cover withal: [of] pure gold shalt thou make them.

30 And thou shalt set upon the table shewbread before me alway.

31 ¶ And thou shalt make a candlestick [of] pure gold: [of] beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same.

32 And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side:

33 Three bowls made like unto almonds, [with] a knop and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, [with] a knop and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the candlestick.

34 And in the candlestick [shall be] four bowls made like unto almonds, [with] their knops and their flowers.

35 And [there shall be] a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the candlestick.

36 Their knops and their branches shall be of the same: all it [shall be] one beaten work [of] pure gold.

37 And thou shalt make the seven lamps thereof: and they shall light the lamps thereof, that they may give light over against it.

38 And the tongs thereof, and the snuffdishes thereof, [shall be of] pure gold.

39 [Of] a talent of pure gold shall he make it, with all these vessels.

40 And look that thou make [them] after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.

3 And this is the heave offering which ye shall take of them, gold, and silver, and brass,

4 Yellow silk, scarlet, rose red, white silk, goat hair,

5 reddish ram skins, badger skins, pine wood,

6 oil for the lamp, spices for the ointment, and good incense,

7 onyx stones and stones set for the ephod and for the shield.

8 And they shall make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.

9 As I will shew thee a pattern of the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof, so shall ye do.

10 Make an ark of pine wood. The length shall be three cubits and a half, the breadth a cubit and a half, and the height a cubit and a half.

11 And thou shalt overlay them with fine gold, within and without; and shalt make a crown of gold round about.

12 And cast four golden prongs, and put them on the four corners thereof; and there shall be two prongs on the one side, and two prongs on the other side.

13 And make staves of pine wood, and overlay them with gold.

14 And put them in the rings by the sides of the ark, that they may be carried;

15 And they shall abide in the rakes, and not be put forth.

16 And ye shall put in the ark the testimony which I will give thee.

17 Thou shalt also make a mercy seat of fine gold: the length thereof shall be three cubits and an half, and the breadth thereof one cubit and a half.

18 And thou shalt make two cherubims of strong gold for the two ends of the mercy seat,

19 That one cherub should be at this end, and the other at the other end; and so two cherubims should be at the ends of the mercy seat.

20 And the cherubims shall spread forth wings above, and cover the mercy seat with their wings, and every one's face shall be over against the other; and their faces shall look toward the mercy seat.

21 And thou shalt put the mercy seat upon the top of the ark, and put in the ark the testimony which I will give thee.

22 Of the place will I testify unto thee, and speak unto thee, even of the mercy seat between the two cherubims, which is upon the ark of the testimony, all that I will command thee unto the children of Israel.

23 Thou shalt also make a table of pine wood; the length thereof shall be two cubits, and the breadth thereof a cubit, and the height thereof a cubit and a half.

24 And thou shalt overlay it with fine gold, and make a garland of gold round about it.

25 And a border round about, the breadth of a hand, and a wreath of gold round about the border.

26 And thou shalt put four rings of gold upon the four places of the four feet thereof.

27 The rings shall be hard under the ledge, to put staves in it, and to bear the table;

28 And thou shalt make the staves of pine wood, and overlay them with gold, to bear the table therewith.

29 Thou shalt also make his bowls, and his cups, and his pots, and his basons, of fine gold, to pour out and to pour in.

30 And thou shalt set shewbread upon the table before me at all times.

31 Thou shalt also make a candlestick of fine dense gold; upon it shall be the shaft with tubes, and bowls, and knops, and flowers.

32 And six tubes shall go out of the candlestick on every side, three tubes on every side.

33 And every tube shall have three open bowls, and knops, and flowers: these are the six tubes of the candlestick.

34 And the shaft of the candlestick shall have four open bowls with knobs and flowers.

35 and one knob under each of two tubes, of which six go out of the candlestick.

36 For both their knobs and their pipes shall come out of him, all of them thick gold.

37 And thou shalt make seven lamps upon the top, and they shall shine one against another,

38 and light snuffers and snuffers of fine gold.

39 Of a talent of fine gold shalt thou make this, with all this instrument.

40 And see that thou make it after their image, which thou sawest in the mount.
