Exodus 27

1 “You are to build an altar of acacia wood. The altar must be square, five cubits long, five cubits wide, and three cubits high.

2 Make a horn on each of its four corners, so that the horns are of one piece, and overlay it with bronze.

3 Make all its utensils of bronze—its pots for removing ashes, its shovels, its sprinkling bowls, its meat forks, and its firepans.

4 Construct for it a grate of bronze mesh, and make a bronze ring at each of the four corners of the mesh.

5 Set the grate beneath the ledge of the altar, so that the mesh comes halfway up the altar.

6 Additionally, make poles of acacia wood for the altar and overlay them with bronze.

7 The poles are to be inserted into the rings so that the poles are on two sides of the altar when it is carried.

8 Construct the altar with boards so that it is hollow. It is to be made just as you were shown on the mountain.

9 You are also to make a courtyard for the tabernacle. On the south side of the courtyard make curtains of finely spun linen, a hundred cubits long on one side,

10 with twenty posts and twenty bronze bases, and silver hooks and bands on the posts.

11 Likewise there are to be curtains on the north side, a hundred cubits long, with twenty posts and twenty bronze bases, and with silver hooks and bands on the posts.

12 The curtains on the west side of the courtyard shall be fifty cubits wide, with ten posts and ten bases.

13 The east side of the courtyard, toward the sunrise, is to be fifty cubits wide.

14 Make the curtains on one side fifteen cubits long, with three posts and three bases,

15 and the curtains on the other side fifteen cubits long, with three posts and three bases.

16 The gate of the courtyard shall be twenty cubits long, with a curtain embroidered with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely spun linen. It shall have four posts and four bases.

17 All the posts around the courtyard shall have silver bands, silver hooks, and bronze bases.

18 The entire courtyard shall be a hundred cubits long and fifty cubits wide, with curtains of finely spun linen five cubits high, and with bronze bases.

19 All the utensils of the tabernacle for every use, including all its tent pegs and the tent pegs of the courtyard, shall be made of bronze.

20 And you are to command the Israelites to bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to keep the lamps burning continually.

21 In the Tent of Meeting, outside the veil that is in front of the Testimony, Aaron and his sons are to tend the lamps before the LORD from evening until morning. This is to be a permanent statute for the Israelites for the generations to come.

1 ¶ And thou shalt make an altar [of] shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof [shall be] three cubits.

2 And thou shalt make the horns of it upon the four corners thereof: his horns shall be of the same: and thou shalt overlay it with brass.

3 And thou shalt make his pans to receive his ashes, and his shovels, and his basons, and his fleshhooks, and his firepans: all the vessels thereof thou shalt make [of] brass.

4 And thou shalt make for it a grate of network [of] brass; and upon the net shalt thou make four brasen rings in the four corners thereof.

5 And thou shalt put it under the compass of the altar beneath, that the net may be even to the midst of the altar.

6 And thou shalt make staves for the altar, staves [of] shittim wood, and overlay them with brass.

7 And the staves shall be put into the rings, and the staves shall be upon the two sides of the altar, to bear it.

8 Hollow with boards shalt thou make it: as it was shewed thee in the mount, so shall they make [it].

9 ¶ And thou shalt make the court of the tabernacle: for the south side southward [there shall be] hangings for the court [of] fine twined linen of an hundred cubits long for one side:

10 And the twenty pillars thereof and their twenty sockets [shall be of] brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets [shall be of] silver.

11 And likewise for the north side in length [there shall be] hangings of an hundred [cubits] long, and his twenty pillars and their twenty sockets [of] brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets [of] silver.

12 And [for] the breadth of the court on the west side [shall be] hangings of fifty cubits: their pillars ten, and their sockets ten.

13 And the breadth of the court on the east side eastward [shall be] fifty cubits.

14 The hangings of one side [of the gate shall be] fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three.

15 And on the other side [shall be] hangings fifteen [cubits]: their pillars three, and their sockets three.

16 And for the gate of the court [shall be] an hanging of twenty cubits, [of] blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needlework: [and] their pillars [shall be] four, and their sockets four.

17 All the pillars round about the court [shall be] filleted with silver; their hooks [shall be of] silver, and their sockets [of] brass.

18 The length of the court [shall be] an hundred cubits, and the breadth fifty every where, and the height five cubits [of] fine twined linen, and their sockets [of] brass.

19 All the vessels of the tabernacle in all the service thereof, and all the pins thereof, and all the pins of the court, [shall be of] brass.

20 ¶ And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always.

21 In the tabernacle of the congregation without the vail, which [is] before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD: [it shall be] a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.

2 Horns shalt thou make upon the four corners thereof, and shalt overlay it with brass.

3 Make also ashpans, and shovels, and basons, and crucibles, and coalpans: all the vessels thereof shalt thou make of brass.

4 Thou shalt also make a fence of brass as a net, and four rings of brass in the four places thereof.

5 And thou shalt make it from under the altar, and the lattice shall reach unto the midst of the altar.

6 And thou shalt also make staves for the altar of pine wood overlaid with brass.

7 And thou shalt put the staves in the rings, and the staves shall be on both sides of the altar, to bear it up.

8 And thou shalt make it of boards, that it may be hollow within, as it was shewed thee in the mount.

9 Thou shalt also make the tabernacle a court, a cloak of twined white silk, on one side an hundred cubits long, toward the south,

10 And twenty pillars upon twenty brass feet, and their knobs with their hoops of silver.

11 And there shall be a cloak about the north, an hundred cubits long; twenty pillars upon twenty feet of brass, and their pommels with their hoops of silver.

12 But toward the even the breadth of the court shall have a cape fifty cubits long, ten pillars upon ten feet.

13 And toward the east the breadth of the court shall be fifty cubits,

14 So that the cloak had fifteen cubits on one side, and three pillars on three feet,

15 And fifteen cubits on the other side, and three pillars upon three feet.

16 And in the gate of the court shall be a cloth twenty cubits broad, woven of yellow silk, and scarlet, and rose, and twined white silk, with four pillars upon their four feet.

17 All the pillars round about the court shall have silver hoops, and silver knobs, and brazen feet.

18 And the length of the court shall be an hundred cubits, and the breadth fifty cubits, and the height five cubits, of twined white silk: and the feet thereof shall be brass.

19 And all the vessels of the tabernacle for all the service thereof, and all the nails thereof, and all the nails of the court, shall be brass.

20 Give unto the children of Israel, that they may bring unto thee the pure oil of the olive tree, poured out for a candle, to be put always in the lamps above.

21 In the tabernacle of the congregation, beside the vail that hangeth before the testimony. And Aaron and his sons shall prepare them, both morning and evening, before the LORD. This shall be for you a perpetual ordinance unto your seed among the children of Israel.
