Psalms 125

1 A song of ascents. Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion. It cannot be moved; it abides forever.

2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people, both now and forevermore.

3 For the scepter of the wicked will not rest upon the land allotted to the righteous, so that the righteous will not put forth their hands to injustice.

4 Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, and to the upright in heart.

5 But those who turn to crooked ways the LORD will banish with the evildoers. Peace be upon Israel.

1 ¶ A Song of degrees. They that trust in the LORD [shall be] as mount Zion, [which] cannot be removed, [but] abideth for ever.

2 As the mountains [are] round about Jerusalem, so the LORD [is] round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.

4 ¶ Do good, O LORD, unto [those that be] good, and [to them that are] upright in their hearts.

5 As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: [but] peace [shall be] upon Israel.

2 There are mountains round about Jerusalem: and the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

3 For the sceptre of the wicked shall not abide upon the company of the righteous, lest the righteous stretch out their hand unto iniquity.

4 O Lord, do good to the good and devout in heart.

5 And the LORD shall drive away them that turn aside into their crooked ways with the transgressors. But peace be upon Israel!
